Tuesday

Liam Kitching made his Coventry City debut following his deadline day move from Barnsley. Entering the fray as a second half substitute, his side lost 3-2 at Cardiff City in the EFL Championship.

Wigan Athletic put Leicester City’s U21’s to the sword at the DW Stadium. Jonny Smith claimed an assist and Callum Lang grabbed a goal in the 7-1 Papa John’s Trophy win.  

Tom Barkhuizen scored his first goal of the season since returning from injury. His Derby County side beat Lincoln City 2-0 at Pride Park.

Dion Pereira made his full debut for Sutton United after his loan move from Premier League side Luton Town. They welcomed Aston Villa U21’s to South London, with the hosts coming from two down to draw 2-2.

Gateshead cruised to a 3-0 home victory against Kidderminster in the National League. Ed Francis was again instrumental for the North East outfit.

Wednesday

Tyrese Campbell was in EFL Championship action for Stoke City. An entertaining match at Huddersfield Town finished 2-2.

Friday 

England held off rivals Scotland in their opening Women’s Nations League at The Stadium of Light. Ella Toone made a second half substitute appearance for the Lionesses, who won 2-1.

Saturday 

Hibernian beat St Johnstone 2-0 at Easter Road in the SPL. Australian International Martin Boyle caught the eye again with some exciting wing play.

Ronan Darcy continued his fine form for Crawley. He scored a first half goal as Town won 3-2 at Toby Mullarkey’s Grimsby Town.

Tranmere Rovers secured a much needed 3 points in League Two. Dan Pike starred in the defence during the 2-0 home win against Accrington Stanley.

National League form side Gateshead won again. This time it was Maidenhead who were on the end of a 3-0 drubbing. Midfield ace Ed Francis scored his second goal of the week in added time to cap another terrific display.

The FullNinety contingent of Jack Evans, Tylor Golden and Jamie Stott had to battle their way to a goalless draw for Halifax Town at Barnet. #FullNinetyFamily
