Jonny Smith made a starting appearance at the DW Stadium as Wigan Athletic drew 1-1 with Cheltenham Town in League One.

In the Scottish Premier League; Martin Boyle’s Hibernian dug out a 2-1 win against Dundee at Easter Road.

Both Tyrese Campbell and Jamie Lindsay made late substitute appearances in the EFL Championship, but their respective Stoke City and Rotherham United sides slipped to narrow losses.

As the League One promotion race hots up, Callum Lang’s Portsmouth picked up a useful point at Charlton Athletic (0-0).

Josh Earl’s Barnsley came from behind to beat Tom Barkhuizen’s Derby County 2-1. The win puts ‘The Tykes’ right back into League One automatic promotion contention.
