Tuesday

England beat old rivals Scotland 6-0 at Hampden Park in the Women’s Nations League. Ella Toone grabbed an assist on an evening which ultimately ended in disappointment, with the ‘Lionesses’ missing out on Olympic Games qualification.

Aaron Morley made a starting appearance for Bolton in their EFL Trophy home tie against Port Vale. Wanderers Won 2-0 to advance in the competition.

Derby County also progress into the next round thanks to a comfortable 3-0 win against Fleetwood Town at Pride Park. Tom Barkhuizen featured for the hosts, while Josh Earl completed 90 minutes for the visitors.

Ronan Darcy captained Crawley during their safe passage into the last 16 of the EFL Cup. Town saw off Bristol Rovers 2-1.

Wednesday

Star man Martin Boyle celebrated his 300th appearance for Hibernian in his side’s big SPL game against Celtic. Hibs returned home disappointed after losing 4-1.

Barrie McKay made a welcome return to first team action for Hearts following his injury nightmare. Rangers kept the hosts at bay, recording a 1-0 win.

Jonny Smith was given an opportunity to impress at the DW Stadium in Wigan Athletic’s EFL Cup tie against Stockport County. The Liverpool born winger scored an early goal, sending ‘The Latics’ on their way to a 2-0 victory.

Friday

Liam Kitching’s defensive display gave his Coventry City side a platform to secure victory in the EFL Championship. The ‘Sky Blues’ beat midlands rivals Birmingham City 2-0.

Saturday

Martin Boyle scored the match winning goal for Hibernian in the SPL as they recorded a 1-0 victory at Livingston.

Jamie Lindsay returned to the Rotherham United starting XI at the New York Stadium. Reduced to 10 men for most of the game, ‘The Millers’ slipped to a 2-1 defeat against Swansea City.

Tom Barkhuizen’s late goal capped off a terrific day for Derby County. They won 3-0 at Leyton Orient to reinforce their League One promotion credentials.

Callum Lang and Jonny Smith were unable to unlock a stubborn Lincoln City defence at the DW Stadium, where both sides played out a goalless draw.

Crawley Town beat Colchester United 2-1 in League. Attacking midfielder Ronan Darcy made a 30 minute substitute appearance.

Also celebrating a victory in League Two were Grimsby Town. Toby Mullarkey’s men beat Crewe Alexandra 2-1 at Blundell Park.

Sunday

Liverpool hosted Bristol City in their WSL game at Prenton Park. Taylor Hinds supplied an assist for the hosts in the 1-1 draw, while Lucy Parry got a late run out from the substitute’s bench.

Everton made the long journey south to face West Ham. It proved to be a worthwhile trip with ‘The Toffees’ winning 1-0. Emma Bissell featured as a second half substitute.

Tottenham Hotspur faced Manchester United in the Sky Sports Main Event at Brisbane Road. Club captain Bethany England made her long awaited return to action following injury and completed 55 minutes, before being replaced by Kit Graham. Ashleigh Neville also featured for Spurs, although she was left disappointed after Lioness Ella Toone scored the decisive second goal for United in a comprehensive 4-0 victory. #FullNinetyFamily
