Ace Hearts’ winger Barrie McKay celebrated his international call up for Scotland. A goalless draw with Ukraine was enough for them to earn promotion in the Nations League.

The goals flowed at Park Hall with The New Saints beating Flint Town United 6-2. Declan McManus scored his second brace inside a week in the Welsh Premier League.

Beth England’s Chelsea made it two wins inside four days with a 3-1 win against West Ham in the WSL.

An early Declan McManus penalty set The New Saints on their way to a convincing 4-1 home win against Newtown.

Saturday

Qatar 22 hopeful Martin Boyle scored the winning goal for Hibernian. A 2-0 victory was the reward following the long trip to Ross County.

Gethin Jones kept things tight at the back for Bolton Wanderers, who went on to secure a deserved 2-0 against Lincoln City.

Also in League One; Barnsley celebrated a last minute winner at Highbury. Liam Kitching’s men beat Fleetwood Town 1-0.

Dion Pereira featured for Bradford City in the 2-1 win at Yorkshire rivals Harrogate Town.

Salford City had to settle for a point at the Peninsula Stadium. Luke Bolton impressed again in the 1-1 draw with Grimsby Town. Aribim Pepple got a run out for the visitors.

There were wins for Notts County and Wrexham in the National League. Ed Francis and Elliot Lee both made second half appearances.

Sunday

Liverpool made progress in the Continental Cup thanks to a narrow 1-0 win at Sunderland. Megan Campbell scored the only goal while Taylor Hinds had a second half run out.

Emma Harries made her much anticipated return to action for Reading as a second half sub after 6 months on the sideline through injury. The ‘Young Lioness’ won a penalty late on, but it wasn’t enough to stop Tottenham winning the Conti Cup tie 1-2.

Goalkeeper Kirsty Levell kept a clean sheet for Leicester City in the 3-0 victory at Blackburn Rovers. #FullNinetyFamily
