FIFA World Cup 22 star Harry Souttar was an unused substitute as Leicester City grabbed a late equaliser at Premier League rivals Leeds United (1-1).

It was a night to forget for our League One contingent. Liam Kitching’s Barnsley were beaten 3-0 against Ipswich Town. Fellow promotion hopefuls Bolton slipped to a 1-0 loss against Accrington with Gethin Jones and Aaron Morley looking to bounce back at the weekend.

In the National League; Halifax claimed an impressive 1-0 away win at Woking with Tylor Golden and Jamie Stott completing 90 minutes of action.

Ed Francis’ Gateshead won 2-0 at Boreham Wood following their long journey south.

Dan Pike returned to the AFC Fylde starting line up as they won 2-0 at Curzon Ashton. The Coasters go into the final game of the season 2 points clear at the top of the National League North.

Thursday

Rotherham United missed the chance to guarantee Championship safety after conceding a late goal at the New York Stadium. Jamie Lindsay’s men lost 2-1 against Cardiff City.

Friday

Manchester United moved 6 points clear at the top of the WSL after an added time winner. Lioness Ella Toone drove her side on to a 3-2 at Aston Villa.

Saturday

The weekend’s action got underway with Hannah Cain notching an assist for Leicester City. They demolished Taylor Hinds’ Liverpool 4-0 to move out of relegation trouble.

A Bethany England brace and a Kit Graham assist earned Tottenham Hotspur a 2-2 draw with Brighton in the WSL.

A late equaliser denied Callum Lang’s Wigan Athletic the opportunity to take their battle for survival into the final day of the season. The Latics could only muster a 1-1 draw at Reading.

Tyrese Campbell completed an impressive 90 minutes of action at the Bet365 Stadium. Stoke City lost narrowly 1-0 against QPR.

An incredible comeback from Liam Kitching’s Barnsley earned his side a 4-4 draw at MK Dons. The Tykes will be fully focused on the forthcoming play-offs.

Bolton Wanderers also secured a play-off spot with a game to spare following their 2-0 home win over visitors Fleetwood Town. Gethin Jones and Aaron Morley will be full of confidence entering the business end of the season.

Former Manchester City academy graduate Luke Bolton scored twice and assisted another in Salford City’s fantastic away win over League Two promotion rivals Carlisle United.

National League Champions Wrexham ended their terrific season with a 1-1 draw at Torquay United. Elliot Lee was again on target.

Ed Francis concluded his loan spell at Gateshead with a 4-0 home win over Maidenhead United.

Halifax rescued a point with a 96th minute equaliser in the 1-1 draw with visitors Eastleigh. Tylor Golden and Jamie Stott provided ‘The Shaymen’ with the defensive platform.

Dan Pike made a 30 minute substitute appearance as AFC Fylde beat Bradford Park Avenue 0-2. The Coasters finish the season as National League North champions.

Sunday

A big congratulations to The New Saints who completed a Welsh Premier League and Welsh Cup double by beating Bala Town in the final at Bangor. Declan McManus scored the opener as the Welsh giants cruised to a 6-0 victory. #FullNinetyFamily
