Monday 13th

Tyrese Campbell made his long awaited return to action following a serious knee injury. The 21 year old Striker completed 60 minutes and looked sharp for Stoke City Under 23’s at Middlesbrough.

Tuesday 14th

Morecambe faced Everton Under 21’s in the Papa John’s Trophy with 19 year old forward Freddie Price making a start for ‘The Shrimps’. Elsewhere; Jamie Lindsay’s Rotherham United collected a point following their 1-1 draw at Lincoln City. Notts County beat Wealdstone 3-2 with Ed Francis completing the 90 minutes, while Ryan Hill scored the opening goal for Eastleigh in their 4-1 win against Dover Athletic. 

Wednesday 15th

Stoke City picked up another point in their quest for promotion to the Premier League. Harry Souttar picked up the ‘Man of the Match’ award following a 1-1 draw with Barnsley.

Friday 17th

Ella Toone and Bethany England grabbed the headlines while starring for England during their World Cup qualifying match against North Macedonia. The Lionesses smashed the visitors 8-0 with Ella grabbing the opening goal. Beth made a massive impact following her substitute appearance by scoring two goals and assisting another. 

Saturday 18th

Callum Lang inspired Wigan Athletic to the summit of League One with a comprehensive 4-1 win at Accrington Stanley while Jamie Lindsay’s Rotherham beat in-form Bolton Wanderers 2-0. Ed Francis completed another 90 minutes as his Notts County side edged Maidenhead United 1-0. 

A big congratulations to Declan McManus who struck his 100th career goal during The New Saints 3-1 win against Barry Town United in the Welsh Premier League. 

Hibernian’s ‘Star Man’ Martin Boyle scored his 5th SPL goal of the season with a penalty kick in their 2-2 draw with St Mirren. Barrie McKay made his full debut for Edinburgh rivals Hearts in a 2-2 draw away to Ross County.

Monday 20th

Tyrese Campbell continued his impressive return to full fitness, scoring the winner for Stoke City under 23’s away at Newcastle United in just his second start. The goal was Campbell’s first since returning from a 9 month injury lay-off and meant ‘The Potters’ won 2-3. #FullNinetyFamily
