Congratulations to Forest Green Rovers’ talented left-back Jack Evans. The 20 year old Blackburn Rovers academy graduate made his EFL debut as a late substitute during his team’s 2-0 home defeat to Barrow. 

In the National League, Ryan Hill provided the cross for Eastleigh’s opening goal during their 2-0 win against Notts County. The victory moves ‘The Spitfires’ into the play-off places.

Wednesday

An added time equaliser earned Birmingham City a point in the FA Women’s Super League. Georgia Brougham’s side drew 1-1 with Chloe Arthur’s Aston Villa.

Friday

Ed Francis returned to Harrogate Town’s starting line up as they beat League Two promotion hopefuls Cambridge United. The Yorkshire outfit edged a nine goal thriller 5-4. 

Saturday

Rotherham United grabbed a late equaliser in their quest for EFL Championship survival. Jamie Lindsay’s men drew 1-1 with Blackburn Rovers at the New York Stadium.

Elliott Lee set Oxford United on their way with a 3rd minute opening goal. The Luton Town loanee went on to claim an assist as ‘The U’s’ won 2-0 at Shrewsbury Town.

Also in League One; Gillingham collected a hard earned point at Burton Albion. Olly Lee featured during the 1-1 draw. 

Morecambe continued their push for promotion from League Two. 18 year old Freddie Price’s development continues at pace with him starting the fixture. His side were convincing during their 2-0 win at Walsall. 

Gethin Jones scored his third goal of season as Bolton Wanderers lost 1-2 at home to Exeter City and failed to clinch automatic promotion at the first time of asking. It will now go down to the last game of the Season.

Sunday

Ella Toone and Kirsty Smith’s Manchester United side narrowly beat Bristol City 1-0 thanks to an own goal. Faye Bryson and Emma Bissell played for City in their FAWomen’s Super League clash. 

Also in the WSL; there was a victory for Brooke Chaplen’s Reading who defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 3-2. While Aston Villa played out a goalless draw at home to West Ham United with Chloe Arthur appearing for ‘The Villains’.

Newly crowned champions Leicester City coasted to a 4-0 victory over Charlton Athletic in the FA Women’s Championship. Goalkeeper Kirsty Levell boasted a clean sheet, while striker Hannah Cain bagged a brace. Taylor Hinds’ Liverpool had to settle for a 2-2 draw with London City Lionesses in their final league game of the season. 

North of the border, Lizzie Arnot found the net again as her Rangers side beat Motherwell with an emphatic 6-0 scoreline in the Scottish Women’s Premier League. #FullNinetyFamily
