Monday

Bolton travelled to Portsmouth for the League One top of the table clash at Fratton Park. Gethin Jones and Aaron Morley returned home nursing a 2-0 loss. However, Wanderers still occupy second place in the table as we approach Christmas.

Tuesday

18 year old goalkeeper Theo Sander moved into the last 16 of the Champions League following a memorable night at the Parken Stadium. FC Copenhagen beat Turkish giants Galatasaray 1-0 to finish as runners-up in Group A.

Jamie Lindsay got more minutes under his belt as he regains full match fitness. Disappointingly though, his Rotherham United side lost 2-0 against West Bromwich Albion in the EFL Championship.

Wednesday

Coventry City were looking to build on their victory last time out against Birmingham City. Liam Kitching’s men collected a credible point against Southampton with a 1-1 draw.

Liverpool claimed the Merseyside derby bragging rights after they beat Everton 2-1 in their Continental Cup Group B match. Emma Bissell featured for ‘The Toffees’, while Taylor Hinds and Lucy Parry were celebrating for ‘The Reds’.

Tottenham visited local rivals Arsenal for their Group D fixture. Ashleigh Neville supplied an early assist and Kit Graham completed 90 minutes during the 3-3 draw, while Bethany England was an unused substitute.

Thursday

Manchester United completed the week’s Continental Cup action at Leigh Sports Village. A 3-1 win over Leicester City guaranteed that Ella Toone’s side topped Group B.

Saturday

The FullNinety trio of Bethany England, Kit Graham and Ashleigh Neville all made the starting XI for Tottenham Hotspur as they faced Arsenal in the big WSL game. Spurs came out on top, winning 1-0 in a thrilling derby match.

Heart of Midlothian recorded a brilliant 2-0 victory away at Celtic in the SPL. Barrie McKay continued his return to action with a 30 minute substitute appearance.

Jamie Lindsay announced his return to full fitness with an early goal at Home Park. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough for Rotherham, who lost 3-2 at Plymouth.

Liam Kitching gave a terrific account of himself at EFL Championship giants Leeds United. His Coventry City side earned themselves a credible 1-1 draw.

Derby County maintained their push for promotion in League One. Tom Barkhuizen was on target again in the 1-1 draw against Wycombe at Pride Park.

That man Elliot Lee scored an early goal to send Wrexham on their way to a close 2-1 home win against Colchester United.

Toby Mullarkey’s Grimsby Town collected another useful point in League Two. They drew 1-1 away at Newport County.

Goal machine Declan McManus came back with a bang following his injury nightmare. He scored with his first touch after coming off the bench, dispatching a free-kick into the top corner. His TNS side beat Penybont 3-0.

Halifax Town won 2-0 away at Gateshead. Jamie Stott and Tylor Golden gave Town a sure-footed defensive platform, while Ed Francis completed 90 minutes for the hosts.

Sunday

Lioness Ella Toone scored with an early strike for Manchester United. Liverpool hit back with Captain Taylor Hinds scoring the winner to secure a 2-1 victory in the WSL.

West Ham United earned themselves a precious point at Leicester City (1-1), where Kirsty Smith and Emma Harries featured for ‘The Hammers’. #FullNinetyFamily
