We are delighted to announce that FullNinety client Bethany England has joined Tottenham Hotspur from Chelsea for a British record transfer fee of £250,000.

The Lionesses has signed a contract that will keep her at Hotspur away until June 2026.

Bethany began her career with Doncaster Rovers Belles before joining Chelsea in 2016. 

Following a successful loan spell at Liverpool, she excelled for Emma Hayes’ side in 2019/20, when she scored 21 goals in all competitions and won the Women’s PFA Super League Player of the Season award. That season, she also scored the winning goal in the Continental League Cup Final, and she has 55 goals in 115 WSL games in total, plus nine major trophies from her time at Chelsea.

Bethany was also a part of Sarina Wiegman’s squad that won Euro 2022 in the summer, she currently has 21 senior international caps to her name and an impressive 11 goals. 6 goals coming in the the qualifiers that helped secure England’s place at the 2023 FIFA World Cup.
