Stoke City’s defensive linchpin Harry Souttar kept in-form Championship side Cardiff City at bay during the goalless draw in South Wales.

Hibernian winger Martin Boyle was named in the SPFL ‘Team of the Week’ following his weekend display. The 27 year old Socceroo won and scored a vital penalty during his side’s 2-1 victory at Ross County.

In League one; brothers Olly and Elliot Lee made second half substitute appearances for Gillingham and Oxford United respectively, with both sides securing comprehensive 3-0 victories.

Saturday

A second clean sheet this week for Harry Souttar and Stoke City set the platform for their Championship victory over Derby County. The 1-0 win at the Bet365 Stadium was settled with a 74th minute goal.

Hibernian consolidated their 3rd place position in the Scottish Premiership. Martin Boyle’s men came away from Livingston with a hard earned point following a 1-1 draw.

Callum Lang took just 37 seconds to strike his 7th goal for Wigan Athletic since returning to his parent club in January following a loan spell with Motherwell. Despite his best efforts they were beaten 3-1 at Accrington Stanley.

Elsewhere in League One; Olly Lee’s Gillingham continued their push for a play-off place with a 2-2 draw against Doncaster Rovers at the Priestfield Stadium. Rochdale collected a point against Peterborough with Aaron Morley making an influential substitute appearance during the 3-3 draw at Spotland.

Bolton Wanderers are on fire at the moment and they extended their fabulous unbeaten run with a 2-1 home win over Walsall. Gethin Jones’ side are now within a point of the automatic League Two promotion places.

Tottenham Hotspur took on Bristol City in the FA Women’s Super League. Centre-back Abbie McManus featured for Spurs while Faye Bryson and Emma Bissell made substitute appearances for City in the 1-1 draw. #FullNinetyFamily
